Stress? Yes please.

I just got two shots. My arm hurts, and i wasn't late for work today. What a surprise.

STRESS.
Why do so many of my fellows and I stress so much over things that aren't that important?
Over grades, boys, or in other's cases, girls, work, the commute, and the like.
I think its because we need to feel like the things we do, or the things going on around us are important. That our everyday pettiness is not a waste.
For spending a second on something that is not worth our time during our short lives would be awful. But not worrying about such things would change our lives. We would be mindless and careless and totally useless.
These things that we claim to hate and whatever, give us purpose and pushes us to live our lives as we want. So keep on dreading, hating, loathing, cursing because deep down these things are essential. And hopefully like me, you have someone you can call who will listen.

Stress gives us a reason to care about something or someone. Stress at school: pushes you to do better. Stress at work: pushes you to work better. Stress with people: pushes you to change and communicate better.

In an objective point of view, the things we stress about might seem petty, yes. But on a personal point of view, they are anything but petty. Personal meaning is what gives us a purpose.

Too much stress can be harmful though. The right amount of stress is a motivator.

This is a very positive outlook on stress. I like.

Except, I don't have anyone willing to listen to my sad little worries about life. Except you. =]

Wow. I just learned about stress, its causes, and effects in my psychology class.

As long as you view the things that make you wig out as a challenge, you'll have a more positive outlook. It's better than feeling crummy about the situation because viewing it as a challenge will help motivate you to find ways to balance out the chaos.
